Can't help you with the Sentry Guns not firing, but I'm pretty sure that they havn't fixed the problems with the Convoy loot tables yet. Apparently they started dropping Pirate Faction mods that were only supposed to drop in nearby Complexes. CCP ...

4. Pirate missions are no longer being given out by Empire Agents - in Missions & Complexes [original thread]
After the patch Empire Agents were giving out Missions in which you had to hunt down CONCORD ships and destroy them. This was a mistake, as only Pirate Faction Agents should give out Missions like these. I did one by accident, thinking it was one...
